Job Purpose

The Senior Manager, Health Informatics & Technology will lead the development and management of user-centered tech solutions and business intelligence tools to enhance BRAC’s health initiatives. This role focuses on optimizing real-time data systems, streamlining data models, and aligning data-driven strategies with programmatic goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all data-related initiatives to ensure alignment with BRAC Health Programme’s objectives.
  • Work closely with Health Tech and PHC pilots to identify and prioritize data needs.
  • Develop and manage real-time dashboards integrating project data based on programme logframes and operational plans.
  • Streamline multiple tech products and servers into a unified architecture for seamless reporting.
  • Conduct data mining and visualization activities tailored to program requirements.
  • Manage collaborations with external data providers, academic institutions, and technology vendors (e.g., MPower, Medtronics Lab).
  • Ensure compliance with national and international health data standards.
  • Evaluate system architectures and recommend enhancements for operational efficiency.
  • Organize knowledge dissemination events to promote data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare TORs, manage procurement processes, and oversee vendor performance.
  • Lead capacity-building initiatives to enhance staff proficiency with new tech tools.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of programme participants and stakeholders from harm, abuse, and exploitation, including SEA.
  • Promote and enforce safeguarding policies within the team.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns and encourage others to do the same.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Educational Requirements:

  • Master’s in Data Science, Information Systems, Public Health Informatics, or a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), Project Management (PMP, Scrum Master), and Cloud (AWS, Azure) are an advantage.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in data science, health technology, or business intelligence, preferably in public health.
  • Proven experience managing tech products and data systems in large organizations.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of public health data management systems & frameworks.
  • Expertise in data privacy, compliance, and ethical standards in healthcare.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong project management skills (Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience in system architecture evaluation and vendor management.
  • Advanced data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
